A Floor That Is Hard, Bright and Barely Maintained

The sheen comes out of the concrete rather than off a gloss laid over it, so it does not sit on the surface waiting to be scratched through. A polished floor throws far more light back into a room than bare slab does, which means the same fittings light the space better.

It also stops the fine grit that untreated concrete gives off under traffic, because polishing strengthens and closes the surface instead of leaving it open. And where a floor needs bringing up to level first, that job is a base of self leveling concrete. You will know which, if either, your floor needs before anything starts.

The Floor You Commission Once

Every coated floor is a wearing layer. It is doing its job well, but it is a layer, and a layer is a thing that eventually comes back round. Polishing is not a layer at all, so there is nothing on the floor to wear through and nothing to re-apply on a cycle.

That changes what the decision actually is. The question stops being what a floor costs to put in and becomes how many times you expect to put one in. For a building you intend to hold, and Riverside has a great many owners who do, the honest answer is usually once.
