What a Quartz Floor Gives a Technical Building
The gain over a standard coating is durability you can measure. The aggregate carries the load rather than the resin alone, so the floor takes dropped tooling, pallet traffic and point loads without denting or scarring the way a thin film does. It is seamless, so there is no joint for contamination to sit in, and it cleans back to a hard sealed surface rather than gradually going dull in the traffic lanes.
It also holds a slip rating while staying cleanable, which is the trade most floors get wrong. A smooth floor is easy to mop and dangerous when wet; a heavily textured one grips and then holds dirt. Because the quartz is graded, we can set the texture precisely enough to meet a wet slip requirement and still let a scrubber lift everything off it. For a building that gets audited, that combination is usually the whole reason quartz is specified.
